Tomba for Microsoft Excel

Tomba’s Excel Add-in allows you to find, enrich, and verify professional email addresses directly from your spreadsheet. Whether you’re working with names, domains, LinkedIn URLs, or article links everything happens inside Excel with just a few clicks.

✅ How to Install Tomba for Excel

  1. Open Microsoft Excel

  2. Click Insert → Get Add-ins

  3. Search for “Tomba” in the Office Add-ins store

  4. Click “Add” to install the Tomba Add-in

  5. Once installed, go to the Tomba tab in the top menu bar and click “Launch”

The Tomba panel will appear on the right side of your Excel workbook.

🔑 Connect Your Tomba Account

The first time you use the add-in, you’ll be asked to enter your API Key and API Secret.
You can find these in your Tomba dashboard.

🔍 Tomba Features in Excel

🔹 1. Domain Search (Single Domain)

Retrieve email addresses from a domain name:

  1. Go to the Domain Search tab

  2. Enter a domain (e.g., tomba.io)

  3. Choose how many emails to retrieve

  4. Click “Find email addresses”

📄 A new worksheet will be created with:

  • Email Address

  • First & Last Name (if available)

  • Type (Personal/Generic)

  • Social Media

  • Confidence Score (%)

  • Department

  • Number of Sources

🔹 2. Bulk Domain Search

  1. Select the Bulk option in the Domain Search tab

  2. Highlight up to 1,000 domains from your sheet

  3. Click “Start Bulk Search”

💡 For best performance, use fewer domains if requesting more than 10 emails per domain.

🔹 3. Enrich Existing Contact Data

Enrich emails using first name, last name, and company/domain:

  1. Open the Finder tab

  2. Match your columns to: First Name, Last Name, and Company/Domain

  3. Click “Find email addresses”

📝 Tomba will populate:

  • Email

  • Confidence Score

  • Status (OK, No results, Missing parameter)

🔹 4. Email Verifier

Check the deliverability of email addresses in your list:

  1. Go to the Verifier tab

  2. Select up to 1,000 email addresses from your sheet

  3. Click “Verify email addresses”

📄 A new sheet will include:

  • Verification Status (Valid, Invalid, Accept-all, etc.)

  • Confidence Score

  • Source Count

  • Optional: Full verification metadata

🔹 5. LinkedIn Enrichment

Find emails and job data from LinkedIn profile URLs:

  1. Go to the LinkedIn tab

  2. Match the column with LinkedIn URLs

  3. Click “Find email addresses”

📋 Results include:

  • Email

  • Full Name

  • Job Title

  • Social Profiles

  • Confidence Score

  • Status

🔹 6. Author Finder (from Article URLs)

Find author details and their email addresses from article or blog post URLs:

  1. Go to the Author tab

  2. Match the column containing article URLs

  3. Click “Find author emails”

📝 Tomba will return:

  • Author Name

  • Verified Email

  • Article Title

  • Confidence Score

  • Status

🔹 7. Enrich Company Data from Website URL – Microsoft Excel

With Tomba’s Microsoft Excel Add-on, you can enrich company data in real time using only the company’s website URL — great for prospecting and data enrichment.

How to Use:

  1. Open your Excel file with a column containing website URLs

  2. Go to the Finder tab in the Tomba Excel add-in

  3. Match the domain column

  4. Click “Enrich Company Data”

Data Returned:

Tomba will return the following enriched fields:

  • Company Name

  • Logo

  • Description

  • City

  • State

  • Country

  • Zip Code

  • Founded Year

  • Last Updated

  • SIC Code

  • NAICS Code

  • Facebook URL

  • LinkedIn URL

  • Twitter URL
