Passkeys

Sign in to Tomba without a password using passkeys — your fingerprint, face, or device PIN.

What Are Passkeys?

Passkeys are a modern, passwordless way to sign in to your Tomba account. Instead of typing a password, you use something you already have — like your fingerprint, face recognition, or device PIN.

Passkeys are:

  • Easier — No passwords to remember or type

  • More secure — Can't be guessed, stolen, or phished

  • Fast — Sign in with a single touch or glance

Passkeys work on most modern devices and browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox.

🔑 Register a Passkey

To add a passkey to your account:

  1. Scroll to the Passkeys section and click Add a passkey.

  1. Your browser will prompt you to create a passkey. Follow the on-screen instructions (this varies by device):

    • On a laptop/desktop — Use your fingerprint reader, Windows Hello, or Touch ID

    • On a phone/tablet — Use Face ID, fingerprint, or your device PIN

  2. Give your passkey a name (e.g., "MacBook Pro" or "iPhone") so you can identify it later.

  1. Your passkey is now ready to use!

✏️ Rename a Passkey

To change the name of an existing passkey:

  1. Find the passkey you want to rename in the Passkeys list.

  2. Click the rename icon next to it.

  3. Enter the new name and save.

🗑️ Delete a Passkey

To remove a passkey you no longer use:

  1. Find the passkey in the list.

  2. Click the delete icon next to it.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

Note: Make sure you have another way to sign in (password, another passkey, or social login) before deleting your only passkey.

🚀 Signing In with a Passkey

Once you've registered a passkey, you can use it to sign in:

  1. Click Sign in with a passkey.

  1. Follow the prompt from your browser or device (fingerprint, face, PIN).

  2. You're in — no password needed!

💡 Tips

  • Add passkeys on multiple devices — Register a passkey on each device you use (laptop, phone, tablet) for the easiest experience.

  • Keep a backup sign-in method — Always make sure you can still sign in with your password or a social account, just in case.

  • Passkeys are device-specific — A passkey created on your laptop won't automatically work on your phone. Register one on each device.
