What Are Rate Limits?
Rate limits control how many API requests you can make in a given time period. They help keep the service fast and reliable for everyone.
If you send too many requests too quickly, the API will return a 429 Too Many Requests error. When this happens, simply wait a moment and try again.
How Limits Are Measured
Tomba tracks three types of limits:
Per second — how many requests you can make each second
Per minute — how many requests you can make each minute
Per day — how many requests you can make each day (resets at midnight UTC)
Your daily limit is based on your monthly credits divided by 5. This means you can use your full monthly allowance over about 5 days of heavy use.
Rate Limits by Plan
Higher plans come with faster speeds and higher limits. Plans with 50,000 or more credits have no rate limits at all.

These limits apply to all API features: Domain Search, Email Finder, Email Verifier, Author Finder, Enrichment, LinkedIn Finder, Phone Finder, Phone Validator, and more.
How Daily Limits Work
Your daily limit lets you spread your monthly credits across a working week:
Example: The Pro plan has 20,000 monthly credits, so your daily limit is 4,000 requests (20,000 ÷ 5).
Light users won't notice the limit — most people never come close.
Heavy users who hit the daily cap can upgrade to get higher throughput.
All daily limits reset at midnight UTC.
No Limits on 50k+ Plans
All plans with 50,000 or more credits have completely unlimited API access — no per-second, per-minute, or daily limits. This includes Pro Plus, Enterprise, Scale, and Pay-as-you-go 50k+ plans.
