How many searches can I run per second, minute and day?

Tomba limits how fast you can search, based on your plan and the tool you use.

Written by Tomba.io Team

It depends on your plan and the tool. Pro Plus and Scale plans have no limits on the tools below. Other plans have limits per second, per minute and per day.

These limits are separate from your credits. They only control how fast you can search.

This table shows Domain Search and Email Finder.

Other tools have their own limits. For example, on the Basic plan:

  • Email Verifier: 2 per second, 40 per minute, 500 per day

  • LinkedIn Finder: 2 per second, 20 per minute, 200 per day

The Enterprise plan has no limit per second or per minute, and allows 100,000 per day.

Reveal search has the same limit on every plan: 5 per second.

Open API > Rate Limits. This page shows the limits for your plan. The picture is from an account with no limits, so it says Unlimited. Your page may show numbers instead.

How the limits work

  • Everyone in your workspace shares the same limits.

  • Searches that find nothing still count toward these limits, even though they use no credits.

  • Daily limits reset at midnight UTC (world standard time).

  • If you reach a limit, pause for a minute and try again. For a daily limit, wait until it resets.

How to get higher limits

  • Buy a credit pack. While a pack has credits left, each limit is the higher of your plan's and the pack's. A pack of 50,000 credits or more removes the limits.
