How to Install and Use Tomba’s Thunderbird Extension
Installation Steps
Click here to access the Tomba Thunderbird Extension page.
Click the “+ Add to Thunderbird” button.
Confirm by clicking “Add Extension.”
Once installed, the Tomba icon will appear in the top-right corner of your browser, next to the address bar.
Find Email Addresses from Any Website
With the extension installed:
Visit any company website.
Click the Tomba icon in your browser.
Tomba will return all known email addresses using the domain (e.g.,
@company.com
) along with the URLs where they were found.
Additional Company & Contact Information
When available, Tomba also shows:
Domain Information: Website name, logo, URL
Company Details: Industry, city, postal code, phone number, revenue, employee count, social media links
Contact Details: Email, full name, job title, phone number, LinkedIn, Twitter, country
Note: The extension does not scrape emails from the webpage you’re viewing. It pulls emails from Tomba’s indexed database based on the domain.
Verifying an Email Address
Click the checkmark icon next to any email in the Domain Search to verify its validity.
Get Cell Phone Numbers
After a Domain Search, simply click the phone icon next to a contact to retrieve phone details (if available).
Find a Specific Person's Email
Tomba will generate the most likely email pattern based on the name and domain.
Example: {first}.{last}@domain.com
Save Leads from the Extension
Click the “+” icon next to any contact to save it to your Leads list in Tomba.
Filter Emails by Department
Use the Department Filter in the extension to narrow results to specific roles such as marketing, HR, IT, etc.

You can connect in two ways:
Via API Key & Secret Key (manual setup)

Extract Emails from Visited Pages
Tomba can passively collect leads as you browse:
Detect emails on visited domains
Show if the email already exists in your leads
Save with metadata (source, first seen, last seen)
