Connect Tomba to ChatGPT, and you can ask it in plain words to find emails, check them and look up companies. You don't need to open Tomba.
Before you start
You need a Tomba account.
You need ChatGPT on the web, with a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education account. These accounts have Developer mode, the ChatGPT setting that lets you add outside tools.
Connect Tomba to ChatGPT
You sign in to Tomba, so there's no key to copy.
Step 1. In ChatGPT, open Settings > Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
Step 2. Open ChatGPT Plugins, select +, and create an app for https://mcp.tomba.io/mcp. Choose OAuth as the sign-in method. OAuth means you sign in with your Tomba account.
Step 3. Sign in to Tomba and approve access.
Step 4. In a chat, choose Developer mode from the + menu and select the Tomba app.
To check that it worked, open the app's details page from ChatGPT's settings. You'll see its list of tools.
Use Tomba in a chat
With the Tomba app selected, ask for what you need:
"Find the emails at tomba.io."
"Check whether [email protected] can receive mail."
"Save [email protected] as a lead."
đł Credits: Each lookup uses your plan credits, the same as in the app. For example, finding an email uses 1 search credit. Tomba adds no extra charge for using ChatGPT.
Disconnect Tomba
Step 1. Open Settings > Connected Apps in Tomba.
Step 2. Select Revoke next to ChatGPT, which may show as ChatGPT (CIMD), then Revoke Access.
Common questions
Why does ChatGPT ask me to confirm?
ChatGPT checks with you before it changes data. Only two Tomba tools do that: one adds a lead, and one creates a data flag, which is a report about wrong data. All the others only read.
Why can't ChatGPT show my usage?
The usage and logs tools don't work when you connect by signing in, and ChatGPT can't connect any other way. Check your usage pages in Tomba instead.
The menus in ChatGPT look different. What now?
ChatGPT's menus can change. See the latest steps in the Tomba docs.
