A lead in Tomba is a potential contact — someone you might want to reach out to for business, sales, marketing, or professional networking. Each lead is a structured record that holds all the information you need about a contact.
Lead Data Fields
Every lead can contain the following information:
Contact Information (Required)
Email — The contact's email address. This is the only required field when creating a lead.
Personal Information
First Name — The contact's first name.
Last Name — The contact's last name.
Country — The contact's country (selected from a dropdown list).
Organization
Company — The company the contact works for.
Position — The contact's job title or role (e.g., Marketing Director).
Company Domain — The company's website URL (e.g., acme.com).
Contact Details
Phone Number — The contact's phone number. Can be found automatically using the Find Phone feature.
Social Links
LinkedIn — The contact's LinkedIn profile handle.
Twitter / X — The contact's Twitter or X handle.
Metadata Fields
Each lead also tracks system-generated metadata:
Score — A confidence score from 0 to 100 indicating email verification quality. Higher scores mean more reliable email addresses.
Lead Source — Where the lead came from:
domain— Saved from Domain Search resultsfinder— Saved from Email Finderverify— Added via Email Verifierbrowser— Captured via the Chrome Extension
Notes — Free-text notes you can add to any lead. Notes auto-save as you type.
Created At / Updated At — Timestamps tracking when the lead was created and last modified.
Custom Attributes
Beyond the default fields, you can create custom attributes to track data specific to your workflow. Custom attributes support three types:
String — Free-text fields (e.g., Campaign Name, Lead Source Detail)
Number — Numeric values (e.g., Deal Size, Priority Score)
Date — Date fields (e.g., Follow-up Date, Last Contacted)
Custom attributes appear in the lead creation form and detail view under the Custom Attributes expandable section.
CRM Sync Status
Each lead tracks its sync status with connected integrations:
Airtable — Synced or not synced
HubSpot — Synced or not synced
Mailchimp — Synced or not synced
Pipedrive — Synced or not synced
You can view the sync status in the lead detail panel under the Integrations tab.
List Assignment
Every lead belongs to a lead list. Lists help you organize contacts by campaign, project, company, or any grouping that makes sense for your workflow. You can move leads between lists at any time.
