Manage your leads

Add, edit, search, filter, move, delete and export your leads on the Leads page.

Written by Tomba.io Team

Use the Leads page to add, edit, find, move, delete and export your saved contacts.

Before you start

The Leads page needs a large screen. On a phone or a narrow window, Tomba asks you to widen your browser.

Add a lead by hand

Step 1. Open Leads in the left menu and click New lead.

Step 2. Type the Email address. It's the only required field.

Step 3. Add any other details you have. To put the lead in a list, choose one under Assign to list.

The empty Create New Lead form, with arrows pointing at Email address, Assign to list and Create Lead

Step 4. Click Create Lead.

💡 Tip: This form doesn't check for duplicates, so the same email can end up in your leads twice. To save a contact from your results instead, see Save emails as leads.

View and edit a lead

Click a lead to open its panel:

  • Details: your custom attributes and notes.

  • Activity: when the lead was created and updated, and where it came from.

  • Integrations: whether the lead has reached each connected app.

To change the lead, click Edit in the panel. Or hover over its row and click the pencil at the end. Then click Save Changes.

To add a note, click the Notes box on the Details tab, type your note, and click Save.

Edit in the table

Double-click a cell, type the new value, and press Enter. Press Esc to cancel.

You can do this for Company, Position, Notes, your custom attributes, and Phone if the lead already has a number.

Search, filter and sort

These tools are in the bar above the table. Filter, sort and fields show as icons, with no text.

  • Search: type in the Search… box. It looks at names, emails, companies, positions, websites, phone numbers and notes.

  • Filter: click the funnel icon, then Add filter. You can filter by Email, Company, Position, Country, Source and your custom attributes.

  • Sort: click the up and down arrows icon and choose a field. You can also click a column name.

⚠️ Important: Search, filters and sort only cover the leads on the current page. To cover more, set Per page at the bottom of the table to 50.

Choose your columns

Click the columns icon to open Fields. Click the eye icon next to a field to show or hide it, or drag a field to move it.

Star a lead

Click the star at the start of a row. Stars are kept in your browser only, so they won't show on another computer or for your teammates.

Move or delete several leads

Tick the leads you want. The box at the top of the table ticks every lead on the page.

  • Move to list: choose a list under Select List, then click Move.

  • Delete: click Delete again to confirm.

  • Cancel: clear your selection.

Delete one lead

Step 1. Hover over the lead and click the three dots at the end of its row.

Step 2. Click Delete, then click Delete again to confirm.

⚠️ Important: The lead goes with its custom attribute values, and the app has no way to bring it back.

Export your leads

Click the download icon above the table. You get a file called tomba-leads.csv, which opens in Excel or Google Sheets.

The file holds all your leads, not only the list on your screen. Team members with the Guest role can't export.

Send leads to your CRM

A CRM is the tool a sales team uses to track contacts and deals. Connect Pipedrive, Airtable or Mailchimp in Integrations, and the leads you save go there on their own. The lead's Integrations tab shows the result under Sync Status.

HubSpot is temporarily unavailable while it moves to a new sign-in method.

💳 Credits: Adding, editing, moving and exporting leads is free. Only verifying an email and finding a phone use credits.
